This Woman Shares A Photo Of Herself That She Didn’t Want Anyone To Ever See

A woman recently posted a photo of herself online, a photo that she never thought she’d ever share. But she has a deep reason for doing this.

You see, she was a meth addict and at 19 years old, she had a serious addiction and was involved in dark things. Even though she finds her photo shameful, she bravely posted it up.

She explained:

“The first picture is me at 19 at the peak on my addiction. I was 110 pounds and 5’9. I was a thief, a horrible friend, stole from my family lied and cheated.”

One morning she looked herself in the mirror and decided enough was enough.

“When I was 22 I woke up, looked in the mirror and thought this isn’t who I want to be.. I walked away and never looked back.”

The road to recovery was long, but she cleverly enlisted a companion for the journey.

“First thing I did? Yep, get a dog. Rockdog – he saved my life. We traveled the county hitchhiking for a year.”

It’s been eight and a half years since she made that big decision. She posted a current photo of her and her 2-year-old daughter.

Her dog saved her life and her daughter keeps her going everyday.

“Now I am about to get my BA as an accountant and I have the most wonderful almost 3 year old,” she beams. “I just want you to know whoever you are and whatever you are dealing with.. that there is hope. Life goes onwards and upwards if you have the courage to stand up and try it.”

We think she’s very brave to post her photo and share the inner demons from her past. She’s a true inspiration and she goes to show that no matter what you’re going through, never give up. You are worth it!
