They Were Called Terrible Parents After Doing This To Their Kids. Dad’s Response Is Legendary

Mike Rossi and his wife Cindy were sent a stern letter from their kids school recently. You see, they took their kids out of school for a family-related reason when they received this:

The letter reads:

“Dear Mr. and Mrs. Rossi:

I understand that your family recently took a family vacation. I want you to be aware that the Abington School District does not recognize family trips as an excused absence, regardless of the activities involved in the trip. The school district is not in the position of overseeing family vacations or evaluating the educational nature of a family trip. The dates that the children were absent were recorded as unexcused. An accumulation of unexcused absences can result in referral to our attendance officer and a subsequent notice of a violation of the compulsory school attendance law.

Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Rochelle S. Marbury
Principal”

So why exactly did Mike’s children miss three days of school earlier this month? To travel to Boston to watch their father run in the Boston Marathon, but that wasn’t all.

Not surprisingly, Mike wasn’t happy with the school’s response and judgmental letter. He said “the school had no right to paint him as a terrible parent.”

So, he responded to the principal with a letter of his own:

Wow! What do you think of his response? Who do you think is right?
