She was Scarred By an Horrific Accident, But He Just Showed the World What True Love Means

Reflect for a second – what are the aspects of your partner or the love of your life that attracts you the most?

Is it their eyes that look longingly at you? Or perhaps it’s their smile, so sweet and pure?

What happens when you take away these qualities and you are left with only the very essensce of your partner to admire – would you still love them? Much as we hate it admit it, somehow the physical appearance of a person has a huge determining factor for love and attraction. Especially in today’s social media age, we base more prominence on a person’s physical appearance than ever before.

Which is why this photo of a couple is so powerful.

This man proves that true love does not rely on physical aspects. This lady was involved in a terrifying accident at work when a huge vat of acid was poured on her. She was blinded by it and lost a lot of her skin. Most of us would be completely devastated and but this is what she had to say:

“I felt sad, angry even. But I was lucky I still have my husband”

In his eyes, she is still the same beautiful woman he loves.

In spite of her scars and imperfections, he works hard to take care of her and love his wife. The poor woman lost her eyesight and had her nose and mouth melted off her face. The injuries continue onto her body and can be seen by her heavily scarred neck, arms and thighs.

Despite the injuries, he’s always there beside her.

Kudos to the amazing couple who show us that true love doesn’t just see, but feels. True love accepts and doesn’t judge. May we all find a love that can last us a lifetime, even when beauty fades away or when our bodies grow saggy and wrinkly due to age. Let us celebrate unconditional, long-lasting true love.
